Make Mine a Builders

Looking through D&AD's 2010 book, found some great designers.  These winning designs for 'Make Mine' builders tea ('slang for a strong cup of tea') are by Melissa Haselden and Claire Watson. Using the builders honest sense of humor and frame of mind, the duo have created ads that are both visually an literally strong!

Jordan Metcalf & Nike

South African designer/illustrator/typographer Jordan Metcalf had been busy working with Nike’s design studio in Portland,Oregon to create some brilliant imaginative typography posters that I would happily put on my bedroom wall! The designs have been released and more to come.

Albert Exergian

Albert Exergian has stripped his designs down to the most fundamental features for a set of TV programs and movies.... this one is for the TV series 'Lost'. Simple and straight to the point. I think it's brilliant, after all, less is more!

Reiner Tiangco

Interactive ‘Dirt Poster’ made by Brooklyn based designer, Reiner Tiangco. When you open the folded poster, it has a layer inK which gets your hands filthy. When you open the poster the audience is invited to rub their hands on the page covered by spot-varnish to reveal the text “The future belongs to those of us who are still willing to get our hands dirty".

So cool I tried to see if you could buy it. That is three weeks shop and a night out...
